When your symptoms don't add up,
it's time to look deeper.

Functional medicine at Encompass builds on evidence-based primary care — looking for patterns across hormones, metabolism, gut health, inflammation, nutrition, sleep, and lifestyle to understand why symptoms persist. Another layer of investigation, not a replacement for conventional medicine.

Functional Medicine at Encompass Care

You've been told it's stress, your age, or nothing at all.
But you still don't feel like yourself.

Functional medicine asks why — not just what. It works alongside your conventional care, adding the time and investigation to look across your full picture: hormones, gut health, metabolism, inflammation, sleep, and stress physiology. Evidence-based. Personalized. No templates.

My Approach

Functional medicine,
grounded in evidence

Too many people live with ongoing symptoms despite normal labs and standard care. I built Encompass to practice differently — combining conventional and functional medicine, with the time to see your full picture and the training to know what to do with it.

"Health is rarely one lab value. I look for patterns across systems — and support your body's ability to heal over time."

Board-certified & conventionally trained

A board-certified FNP with graduate training from Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania, and years in primary care.

Advanced functional medicine training

Investigation that goes deeper than a standard panel — into hormones, gut, metabolism, and the systems beneath your symptoms.

Conventional + functional, no tradeoffs

Advanced testing and conventional medications when appropriate — whole-person care without giving up clinical rigor.

Optional First Step

Lab Launch

$97 · 30 minutes

An educational review of your existing lab work through a functional medicine lens. For patients who want to better understand their current labs, spot potential gaps, and figure out whether a deeper functional evaluation makes sense — before committing to anything.

An educational entry point — not a treatment visit or a functional medicine program.

Not included
New lab ordering · Treatment protocol · Supplement plan · Ongoing messaging or follow-up

A lab review tells you what your numbers say. The next step is understanding why — connecting your history, symptoms, and patterns into one clear picture.

Many people assume they have to choose between using insurance and pursuing functional medicine. At Encompass, that's not always the case — if we've been working together and spot patterns worth a closer look, I'll recommend the next functional step based on your history and goals.

Insurance is used whenever appropriate for covered medical care. Functional medicine programs provide the time, deeper investigation, testing, and ongoing guidance insurance typically doesn't reimburse. Rather than replacing conventional care, it builds on it.

Start with Insurance

Begin with insurance-covered medical care, conventional labs, or ongoing management before deciding whether a deeper functional evaluation is appropriate.

Start with Functional Medicine

For patients who already know they want a comprehensive root-cause evaluation, beginning with a Root Cause Review, Reset, or Rebuild.

Preferred Program Pricing

Established patients using accepted insurance may qualify for preferred pricing on Reset or Rebuild after their initial medical evaluation.

Ask during your consultation whether this fits.

Common Questions

Functional medicine,
answered

Still have a question? A free intro call is the easiest way to get it answered.

Do you take insurance?

I use insurance whenever appropriate for conventional medical care, including eligible office visits, standard laboratory testing, imaging, medications, and referrals. Functional medicine programs, extended visits, and most advanced testing are self-pay by design — they provide the additional time, interpretation, and ongoing support that insurance generally does not reimburse.

How do labs work?

Conventional labs are ordered through insurance whenever appropriate. Advanced functional tests (such as DUTCH, GI-MAP, GI Effects, or Organic Acids) are self-pay and billed by the lab directly. I only order what your history and symptoms actually call for.

Do I need advanced functional testing?

Not necessarily. Advanced testing is recommended only when it's likely to meaningfully change your care. Many patients begin with conventional labs, while others benefit from tests such as DUTCH, GI Effects, GI-MAP, or Organic Acids depending on their history, symptoms, and goals. Testing is individualized — not every patient needs every test.

What's the difference between Root Cause Review and Reset or Rebuild?

Root Cause Review creates clarity. Reset and Rebuild create change. During Root Cause Review we identify patterns, review your history and existing labs, and build a personalized roadmap. The longer programs provide the follow-up, implementation, testing, accountability, and adjustments needed to put that roadmap into action over time.

Can I begin directly with Reset or Rebuild?

Yes. Patients who already know they're ready for structured support can begin directly with Reset or Rebuild. If you'd rather understand the full picture first, Root Cause Review is the natural starting point — and it credits toward either program.

Can I keep my current primary care provider?

Yes. Many patients continue seeing their existing primary care provider while working with me through a functional medicine program. If you choose, I can coordinate recommendations with your medical team.

Do you prescribe medications if needed?

Yes. As a board-certified provider, I can prescribe conventional medications when they're clinically appropriate — functional medicine and conventional treatment aren't mutually exclusive.

How long before I see results?

It depends on what's driving your symptoms and how long they've been present. Some patients notice shifts within weeks; deeper, longstanding patterns take longer. Reset and Rebuild are built around that reality, with follow-up and adjustment over months rather than a single visit.

What happens after a program ends?

Many patients continue with the Integrative Primary Care Membership for ongoing primary care, prevention, and long-term continuity. Others simply return as needed.

I'm not sure where to start. What do you recommend?

Most patients begin with either a Root Cause Review, or directly with Reset or Rebuild if they're ready for structured support. During your free intro call, we'll discuss your history, goals, and where you are in your health journey, and I'll recommend the option I believe is the best fit. There's no pressure to choose before you've had that conversation.

Functional medicine isn't a replacement for primary care. It's an additional layer of investigation when deeper answers are needed.

My goal is to understand the patterns behind your symptoms, build a thoughtful, personalized plan, and keep supporting your health over time — whether that's through a program, ongoing primary care, or both.

Ready to Begin?

Whether you're new to Encompass or already an established patient, we'll help determine whether Lab Launch, Functional Insight, a Root Cause Review, or continuing with primary care is the best next step for your goals.
